NextOre has completed assembly and factory testing of a world first MR truck analyser. The unit, measuring 7m in diameter and designed to be suspended 10 meters over 180-tonne trucks, has been sold to its first customer and will be dispatched to a large copper mine overseas in March. The analyser will be used to detect copper as chalcopyrite.

NextOre is an Australian business headquartered in Silverwater, NSW. The company was founded in 2017 by shareholders CSIRO, RFC Ambrian and Worley for the commercialisation of magnetic resonance technology. The company develops and supplies proprietary cutting-edge sensing solutions for copper, iron ore and gold miners to accurately measure the quality of their ore in real-time at very high tonnages, enabling more precise, efficient and sustainable mining.
NextOre developed the integrated system in partnership with primary Australian partners:

The truck analyser will be used to enable real-time, quantitative mine control, detecting the quality of ore carried in trucks as it is mined, eliminating both accidental losses of valuable minerals to waste and the processing of barren material.
In addition to improving the efficiency of metal production from copper mines, this enables significant reductions, in fuel, water, electricity and chemical consumption while also reducing the quantity of wet tailings produced for each tonne of copper.
Products based on the open geometry magnetic resonance sensor make up the second core product line offered by NextOre. NextOre’s existing portfolio of global projects use the on-conveyor version of the magnetic resonance analyser. On-conveyor units have been deployed to mines across Australia, Africa, Philippines, Chile and Mexico.
